After a favorable response, it went to the Senate Steering and Policy committee on April 17, and was passed by the Senate May 7. It's now in the House committee on Steering, Policy, and Scheduling:

AN ACT CREATING THE OFFICIAL DONUT OF THE COMMONWEALTH.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Chapter 2 of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding the following section: The Boston Cream Donut shall be the official donut of the Commonwealth.
